FAQs

When will I receive my order?

Each LeezaD original – a piece of wearable art – is handmade for just you…and so the construction process begins as soon as you place the order. Depending on the complexity of the item and the availability of components, it may take 2 to 4 weeks before the item is shipped. We will notify you if there is ever any unexpected delays or unavailability of parts.

If, for some reason, a part is out of stock or is not available, and we cannot find a comparable alternative (of equivalent value), you will be notified by email with a revised ship date or unavailability notice. On such rare occasions, you will be given substitution choice(s) or the option to cancel. All items are made in the order they are received.

We also carry items we think are unique or are of interest to our customers that are readily available. Such items are usually shipped within 1 – 2 business days.

If you have any questions on a particular item or regarding your order, please email us via our Contact Form.

How do I measure my wrist?

Use a soft, flexible measuring tape and measure your bracelet wrist at the base of your hand. Don’t pull too tight or too loose – just snug enough. If your wrist measures:

5.25″ to 6″ = order size small

6″ to 6.75″ = order size medium

6.75″ to 7.5″ = order size large

If you measure at the higher end of a range, and like a looser fitting bracelet, you may prefer the next larger size. Likewise, if you measure at the lower end of a range, and like a tighter fitting bracelet, you may prefer the next size down.

How do you measure your earrings?

We measure the length from the top of the earring (the part that goes through your pierced hole). If you like the length of one of your current earrings, you can compare our length by measuring as shown in the picture below. We measure the width from the widest point of the earring.

Will I receive the actual item pictured?

For most items, the picture is a representative of the item you will receive. Many of the gemstones we use are natural, so each one may vary in hue or pattern. For bracelets, we generally photograph a size “medium”, so your bracelet may contain more or less beads than the item pictured, depending on your size.

We designate items that are one-of-a-kind. In such cases, the item photographed is the item you will receive.

Please keep in mind, monitors vary in how the color may be represented on your screen, but we try to represent the colors as close to the actual colors as we can.

Can I get something in a different length or size?

We would love to offer additional lengths/sizes in various styles. Please fill out our contact form with your request. If its something we can do, we will give you a quote. If we get several requests in a particular style, we will consider offering it in our line.

What is your return policy?

For most of our items, we will accept returns of unused items for up to 30-days from the date of purchase. The exception is items in our Re-Envisioned collections; these items are sold as is, as the vintage pieces may be 25 to over 100 years in age. We select vintage pieces that appear to be in good condition for their age.

Your return must be packaged properly and in the same condition as when you received it. Worn items cannot be returned unless defective.  Your items must be unworn and in the same condition you received it. You will be responsible for paying for the return shipping charges. A restocking fee may apply.

If you need to return an item, please complete our Contact Us form and include your order number and reason for return in the message box. Someone will reply within two business days with information/instructions regarding your return. If we approve your return, your refund will be the cost you paid less the shipping charge.

Do you offer a warranty or letter of authenticity for the vintage pieces?

Our Re-Envisioned collections (and other designs as indicated) are created with one or more vintage components, where each vintage component may vary from 25 to over 100+ years in age. We select vintage components that appear to be in good condition for their age; however, these are sold as is. We do not guarantee or provide a letter of authenticity, as most of these components are purchased from individuals selling from their own acquisitions or estates.

Is there a recommended age for wearing your jewelry?

Our jewelry is designed and intended for adult fashion and decorative use only (do not ingest).

General Care for your Jewelry

It is important to take good care of your jewelry. Always apply makeup, perfume, hairspray, etc. (allowing time to dry) before putting on your jewelry. Do not wear your jewelry while exercising, taking a shower, swimming, etc., as body oils and perspiration can damage the luster of your jewelry. Most of our items have a clear coat layer of protection which will be broken down if exposed to these elements. Use an anti-tarnishing cloth as needed on your precious metal components such as sterling, 14kt, and gold-filled. (Note: Pavé set, cubic zirconias, rhinestones, Austrian crystals, etc., should not be cleaned with or exposed to water, as moisture can damage these types of stones – use rubbing alcohol very sparingly – only a few seconds – to remove debris.)

Do not leave your jewelry out (lying on your dresser, etc.); store immediately after each use. Avoid the urge to “throw” your jewelry together in a drawer, jewelry box, or in your purse. It is best to store items separately to avoid damage to the beads, stones, pearls, etc. Store your jewelry in a slightly coiled position or in a fully extended position (depending on the item and its length) to avoid “stress” points or kinks in your jewelry’s stringing materials. With proper care, your items should not need to be restrung for several years. Exception: Generally, items strung on silk should be restrung approximately every 5 years, depending on use.

General Care for your Jewelry with Pearls

Pearls are somewhat soft compared to other gemstones and precious metals. You will want to take special care of your pearls to ensure they remain bright and beautiful. Lightly wipe the pearls with a soft, lint-free cloth after you wear them to remove oils, perspiration, etc. You may use a slightly damp, soft cloth if needed. It is important to keep the luster intact, so be extremely gentle while wiping the pearls. Do not leave your pearls laying out‚ they should be stored in a soft, closed environment after each use.

How should I store my Jewelry

We provide a beautiful storage box with every item ordered! It contains a “peek” hole so you can quickly tell what’s in the box without opening it! We provide two pads for protecting your new treasure. If it’s a gift, simply place one of the protective pads over the item so you can’t see the item through the peek hole – wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise!

Could I be allergic to sterling or gold-filled jewelry?

Only a small percent of the population is allergic to sterling silver; however, some people are allergic to nickel. Since sterling silver is alloyed (usually around 8%) with other metals such as nickel, there is a chance someone with this allergy cannot wear Sterling.  Gold-filled is an actual layer of gold over the metal, so most people with a metal allergy can wear it. In either case, you will know by irritation on the skin such as slightly red and possible small bumps, and the area may be itchy. If you have allergies to metal, you should not wear items labeled SP or GP (silver plated or gold plated) or items that just say silver or gold (or silver tone or gold tone), as these items are plated and offer little protection to the metals.
